Where Every Animal Finds a Safe and Lasting Home
The Grumpy Goat Farm & Sanctuary was founded on a simple belief: animals deserve stability, safety, and a consistent place to call home
As a long-term sanctuary, our responsibility goes beyond rescue. It means providing steady routines, thoughtful management, and making decisions that reflect each animal’s needs at every stage of life.
We meet each animal where they are whether that means retirement, medical support, or simply time and space to live quietly.
Our approach prioritizes stability, structure, and the well-being of each resident.

Lifelong Sanctuary
Unlike adoption-focused rescues, our residents remain here permanently. Many arrive as seniors or with medical conditions that require ongoing support. Once animals arrive at the sanctuary, our goal is simple: provide a safe and familiar environment where they can live comfortably and without uncertainty.
Care includes:
Individualized feeding programs
Routine veterinary oversight
Regular farrier care
Herd companionship and safe pasture living
Responsible Intake
Sanctuary is a lifelong commitment. Because of this, intake decisions are made carefully. We expand only when we can responsibly support additional animals with the time, space, veterinary support, and financial stability required for long-term care. This approach helps ensure that every resident receives the attention and stability they deserve.

Environment & Daily Life
Whenever possible, animals live in open pasture environments that allow natural movement, social interaction, and routine.
Daily life here is intentionally calm and structured — familiar fields, dependable feeding schedules, and careful observation of each animal’s changing needs.
Stewardship & Transparency
Grumpy Goat Rescue Co. is committed to responsible nonprofit management and transparency.
Our annual reports and financial disclosures reflect how community support directly sustains sanctuary care from feed and veterinary services to infrastructure that keeps animals safe and comfortable.
